Terms & Conditions

Wetnose Grooming withholds the right to refuse service if we feel as though it is unsafe to groom your dog.

Late arrival to appointments

Please make sure you are not early or late for your appointment.
All appointments are run on a strict schedule - If you are early, we may be with another client or on a break.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment is automatically cancelled.

No show to appointments

Please understand as we are a small salon that can only groom a very limited amount of dogs a day, a no show does not give us enough time to replace the appointment. Our income solely relies on clients arriving to their appointments.

A no show fee of 50% of what your appointment was booked in for will be required to be paid before any future appointments can be made with us.

Late pick up after appointment

We will send you a message 15 minutes before your dogs grooming is finished, we allow 20 minutes for your dog to be picked up or you will be charged a $10+ holding fee. We are a small salon with back to back appointments, due to this we are not equip to hold any dogs longer than we need to.

Fleas

If your dog has fleas, we are obliged to do a flea shampoo for $10 extra to prevent a flea infestation within the salon.
You will be notified of this at check in or via message. If you do not give us permission to use a flea treatment on your dog, your appointment will be cancelled. If this is mid groom your dog will be returned with their groom unfinished and you will be charged for the service.

Dogs in season

We refuse to groom any dogs in season and your appointment will be cancelled. If you fail to tell us at check in and we realize mid groom, your dog will be returned with their groom unfinished and you will be charged for the service.

Dogs marking

We understand accidents happen and thats okay but dogs whom mark in the salon will be put in a crate until they are picked up.

Health or Medical Problems

Occasionally, grooming can expose or aggravate hidden medical problems or a current one, this can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses related to underlying health or medical problems will remain as the responsibility of the owner.

Arriving on lead

You and your dogs safety is our number one priority.
Please remember your dog must be on a lead when arriving to the salon.

Challenging behaviour

You must inform us if you are aware of any behavioural problems your dog has with grooming, this does not mean we will not groom your dog, it helps us be prepared and aware of any safety protocols we might have to use.

There will be an additional charge for this behaviour as it is very time consuming.

If you are aware of your dogs challenging behaviour but fail to mention this to us we will not continue the groom, you will be charged for the service and will not be allowed to rebook.

Matting

Dogs with matted coats require extra care and attention. The removal of matting can cause nicks, cuts, abrasions or clipper rash due to the closeness of the coat to the skin. Matted coats can also trap moisture and urine close to the skin allowing mould, fungus and bacteria to grow which can produce skin irritations once the hair is removed. At drop off, we will inform you of the after effects of matt removal.

If we believe your dog needs to be shaved short due to matting, we will not attempt to try save the coat. Attempting to brush out matting can be very painful for your dog and will create skin irritations.

There will be an additional charge for this process as it is very time consuming and causes extra wear and tear on our equipment.

if you do not agree to shave your dog short your appointment will be cancelled.
